Beer. Brats. Lederhosen.  Can't go to Munich, Germany to celebrate Oktoberfest? Join us as we travel to Helen to celebrate in the vibrant kickoff of the longest running Oktoberfest in the US. Nestled in the picturesque setting, Helen draws inspiration from German villages, offering outdoor adventures like tubing and hiking, alongside the Oktoberfest activities. Experience the festive parade as revelers don traditional lederhosen dirndls, and dance to lively polka music. Be sure to partake in the delicious German food and drinks while there! You’ll be enthralled with the musical lineup featuring both traditional German tunes and modern favorites, and feel free to join in the Chicken Dance as you become German for the weekend!                         Fall in Ferdinand

                                October 3-4

     This will be one of the most unique experiences you'll have this season! From crafts to craft beer from homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee to hayrides, pumpkins and monasteries. Oh my!

      Nestled among the hills and fields is the beautiful city of Ferdinand and a vibrant celebration of fall, Walktoberfest! Stroll through the charming streets of Ferdinand, where the sights, smells, and sounds of autumn fill the air. Immerse yourself in seasonal activities like pumpkin decorating, hayrides, and crafts.

      Be in awe of the beauty and serenity of the Monastery Immaculate Conception (Castle on the Hill) a Historic landmark. Founded in 1867 and home to a large Benedictine community, it’s restored Romanesque dome, adorned with 89 angels, rises 87 feet above the town. You'll find the gift shop, with handmade crafts and treats, has much to offer after our tour. Tour and lunch at St. Benedict’s Brew Works, a small brewery that operates at the monastery of the Sisters of St. Benedict.  It’s the only brewery in the United States to be housed on the grounds of a women’s religious community.
